Because cricket flour is actually cricket powder, it does not contain starch and is a superfood with many benefits. Crickets are a reliable and clean food source, subject to Canadian government food standards and regulations. Cricket breeders must therefore handle them while respecting the same hygienic conditions imposed for any other food production. Vitamin B12, also called cobalamin, is an essential vitamin and, not being produced naturally by the body, this vitamin must therefore be supplied to us through our diet. In case of vitamin B12 deficiency, the following symptoms may appear: weakness, lack of energy and nausea. This deficiency can also lead to some forms of anemia and mood disorders, and in more severe cases, memory loss or even dementia.
